Kickball Fun
Despite a threatening October sky, Bigs and Littles gathered last weekend at Paderewski Park in Plainville to hang out together, bond and to compete in what turned out to be a very competitive game of kickball. If you haven’t played the game before, all you have to know is that it’s a lot like baseball – minus the bat, small ball, and leather gloves. There were a lot of spirited shots to the outfield, some amazing pitching by event organizer Ivana Kirk-Thigpen, a stolen base or two, and a whole lot of cheering. At the end of the game everybody was tired, but not tired enough to start talking about another day of kickball action. Thanks to the planners, volunteers and all those who came out on Saturday morning to make the activity so much fun!
