Big Futures Program

Introduction

Mentoring doesn’t stop when our Littles graduate high school. The transition to young adulthood can be challenging, especially for those with fewer resources.

We created the Big Futures Program to extend our mentoring work past high school and continue the relationship between Bigs and Littles, offering resources and guidance for education, employment, and enlistment.

Overview

Big Futures transforms the period from high school graduation to age 26 into one of growth and empowerment for Littles. We build upon the foundation of the mentor-mentee relationship, equipping Littles with the tools they need to navigate young adulthood.

The purpose of the program is to provide opportunities, experiences, and connections to young adults. Our goal is that by the time Littles reach age 26, they will make a living wage, make community connections, and achieve life satisfaction.

We provide a tailored selection of resources that serve each Little’s unique needs. Whether it’s job readiness information, resume building tips, college degree requirements, career and personal planning, social and cultural activities, or enlistment insights, Big Futures empowers Littles to succeed in these transitional years.

Requirements

To participate in Big Futures, Littles should commit to active and consistent engagement. We encourage Bigs and Parent/Guardians to continue supporting their Littles throughout this critical phase of life.
