On Tuesday, May 14, there was filmed coverage on WFSB-TV’s 4:30 p.m. news broadcast on Big Brothers Big Sisters of Connecticut and the 10-year match relationship of Big Brother Alex Beck and his Little Brother Mekhi. Alex Beck, from Orange, is a longtime Big Brothers Big Sisters of Connecticut Board Member. New Haven resident Mekhi was the recipient of the Youth of the Year recognition at the 2023 BBBS of the Year Awards event. Last night’s coverage was the latest installment in the station’s popular “Great Kids” feature. It was produced and presented by reporter Olivia Schueller. The coverage ran on additional WFSB evening newscasts on the evening of May 14, and will run on other station newscasts for the remainder of the week.
