Artis Stevens named President & CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America
Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, parent organization of Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters, recently announced the appointment of Artis Stevens as new head of the organization. He’s the first African American President and CEO in the national youth mentoring organization’s 116-year-old history.
“Artis Stevens brings broad experience, impressive skill sets and a deep commitment to our mission. We believe these attributes will make him a strong leader for our national organization,” said Andy Fleischmann, President & CEO of Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters, the national youth mentoring organization’s major Connecticut affiliate.
“We believe Artis will build on our great 116-year-old history, helping Big Brothers Big Sisters to offer our life-changing services to more at-risk children in Connecticut and across the country. Artis’s commitment to social and racial justice will also be invaluable as we tackle issues of social, economic and racial inequity.”
