Foster Grandparent of the Year Featured in a Special Profile on WTNH-TV News
On Monday, January 30, there was coverage on WTNH News on Big Brothers Big Sisters of Connecticut, on the organization’s Foster Grandparent Program and on senior mentor Classie Sanders – who was recently named the program’s Foster Grandparent of the Year. The coverage is a filmed interview in WTNH’s ongoing Connecticut Families series, in which anchor/reporter Sarah Cody talks with Classie Sanders and others about the Foster Grandparent Program and youth mentoring. The coverage ran initially on 1/30’s morning’s WTNH News during the 8 a.m. hour. It also ran on the station’s 5:00 p.m. news program later that day. It additionally ran on other editions of WTNH News throughout the week, as well as on news programs on WCTX (MyTV9), the WTNH sister station in Connecticut. The coverage is also posted on the WTNH website (www.wtnh.com).
